Standing at the gate of Deep Navigation Colliery, Trelewis Drift and Taff Merthyr Colliery (now Parc Taf Bargoed), Treharris Boys & Girls Club is one of the only local institutions to have survived the decline of industry.

To mark our centenary, the National Lottery has funded the club to transform part of the building into a community museum preserving the story of our Valley through object donations, oral histories and art installations.

The museum has been designed and created through a number of community consultations and participatory workshops with young people. You can see a year of creation at our grand opening in Spring 2024.
